There are so many things to consider when purchasing your hoover carpet cleaner - its mind boggling! The main things we need are:
- it needs a bit of omph (power)!
- we dont want to have to go over the same crumb 50 times! (Lets face it ladies we can all think of a lot better ways to spend our day - like ironing!)
When purchasing your hoover carpet cleaner a common question is upright or canister, whats right for me? Below are some pros and cons on both of these:
Canister pros
Canister are definitely the best if you have a lot of stairs in your home. This is because they are light and compact and easy to carry around. Easy to get to them hard to reach places - under the table. The canister vacuums do not need a lot of storage space.
Canister cons
People who have previously purchased canister vacuums have commented about dents in their furniture when tugging the canister behind them whilst cleaning the floor.
Upright pros
Easy to use, easy to push around the floor. Many upright hoover carpet cleaners are now supplied with an attached hose, which makes it easy to get to the hard to reach places. Anyone with back problems would be better with an upright as it involves less bending and lifting.
Upright cons
Takes up extra storage space (with the height). If carrying is involved uprights usually weigh more than the canister ones.
Conclusion
Its really down to what your needs are. DO you prefer the hoover carpet cleaner to be infront or behind you whilst cleaning? Do you have stairs? etc,etc
